University Avenue and 29th Avenues Development Objectives and Design Guidelines Receives Outstanding Project of the Year Award
The University and 29th Avenues Development Objectives and Design Guidelines developed by SEH were intended to facilitate transit-supportive redevelopment and the evolution of a special place of high quality and enduring character.
The project formulates a baseline set of criteria by which current and future development activities in the corridor can be directed and implemented.
The project had four primary objectives:
-
Provide developers or business owners with guidelines for proposed expansions, renovations or new construction of buildings or parking within the project area.
-
Assist citizens of the Prospect Park Neighborhood, City staff, and City officials in reviewing development proposals.
-
Support transit ridership and patrons with adequate density, intensity, and a premium environment.
-
Encourage high quality development, including office, retail, and life cycle housing for a range of income levels.
