Little Dry Creek Master Plan and Storm Detention Plan, City of Westminster

Colorado 2007 Local Government Silver Award, Denver Regional Council of Governments

SEH and partner, Design Studio West, prepared this plan for the City of Westminster’s Department of Community Development. The plan outlines an ambitious proposal for creating a park along Little Dry Creek between Federal Boulevard and Lowell Boulevard that will be adjacent to the planned South Westminster commuter rail station and an 80-acre site identified for future transit-oriented development.

The award, given in the Category of Collaboration, recognizes the City of Westminster’s efforts to solve problems through partnerships with other local governments, the private sector, community and nonprofit groups based on Metro Vision principles that promote local jurisdictions’ control over development of their respective communities.
