We are looking for individuals who want to be part of a team that provides exceptional service to our clients and we have an immediate opening for a Solid Waste / Environmental Engineer in our Chippewa Falls, WI or La Crosse, WI office.

Responsibilities include engineering design, environmental permitting and compliance, and report writing along with project scoping, performing and/or leading technical aspects of solid waste and non-solid waste projects, task management, and client and regulatory agency interaction.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field and a minimum of three to five years related experience.
• Previous experience and working knowledge with solid waste planning, design and permitting as well as solid waste regulations.
• Candidate must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin or able to achieve registration within one year.
• Excellent client relation skills and be able to coordinate effectively with team members.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and walk and climb over rough terrain. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation. Occasional day trips will be required.
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site visits, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with public solid waste business and accounting, construction quality assurance, engineering design/computer aided design software, general environmental compliance and permitting (air, stormwater, spills), and other civil infrastructure design services.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in other Midwestern states.
• Previous experience in task management and participation on multi-disciplined, multi-location project teams.
