SEH's project portfolio was the biggest attraction when looking at firms to work for as I wanted to do more complex engineering analysis and challenge my creativity further. I was also looking for a company that offered me the flexibility to get involved with community activities or to take classes at a local University. At SEH, I am surrounded by colleagues who are smart, approachable, creative and have a good sense of humor. And, just in the year that I've worked for SEH, I have worked on several interesting projects of varying size. The one project that took me on a beneficial journey in such a short time was the Wisconsin State-Wide Signal Retiming Project. I had to learn a few topics that were outside the realms of day-to-day traffic engineering and has help me become a well-rounded consultant. The knowledge I gained through this project is helping me view my clients' problems from multiple perspectives and is helping me provide them a better service.
