Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (Minnesota PFA)

The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund helps communities build drinking water storage, treatment, and distribution systems that comply with standards in Safe Drinking Water Act. Allowable costs include: land costs, site preparation, construction, engineering, equipment and machinery, bond issuance. Projects that are primarily to serve growth are not eligible.

Eligible Applicants: Cities, counties, townships, sanitary districts or other governmental subdivisions responsible for providing public drinking water are eligible.

Funds Available: Dependent on state and federal appropriations

Restrictions: Projects must be on the Project Priority List and the Intended Use Plan. Projects must be certified by the Minnesota Department of Health.

Deadlines: Project Priority List (PPL) request mid-May; Intended Use Plan (IUP) request early June; must begin construction by the following June
