SEH Receives High Honors for Community Projects

The Minnesota Chapter of the American Planning Association awarded SEH’s University Avenue SE/29th Avenue SE Development Objectives and Design Guidelines project with an Honor Award. The project facilitates transit-supportive redevelopment, and provides decision-making parameters for both public and private investment in the corridor. The parameters provide guidelines when determining proposed expansions, renovations, or new construction of buildings or parking facilities within the project area.

SEH’s Village of Osceola Downtown Improvements Project in Wisconsin received an America’s Crown Community Award for its uniqueness, effective financing, and value to the community. The Village was one of only five cities and four counties in the nation selected. The project consisted of major renovations to Osceola’s municipal infrastructure and the entire historic downtown due to a major natural disaster that heavily impacted the community. The project is featured in the American City and County’s December 2006 issue.
