July 10, 2003 Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc., (SEH©) Joins U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Minneapolis, MN – July 10, 2003 – SEH becomes a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Joining the USGBC reinforces SEH’s effort to promote energy efficiency, the use of recovered materials, waste reduction and pollution prevention in facility design. The U.S. Green Building Council is the nation’s foremost coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. Founded in 1993, the U.S. Green Building Council is leading the national consensus for producing a new generation of buildings that deliver high performance with minimal damage to the environment. Council members across all spectrums of the building industry unite to promote resources, products, policy guidance, education and marketing tools that support the adoption and market expansion of green building.
