Ramping Up for Transit and Transportation Opportunities - Chuck Huffine Joins SEH

The SEH Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering group in Colorado added new expertise, and clients gained a new resource when Chuck Huffine, PE, PTOE, AICP, joined the firm. As a licensed engineer in seven states and a certified professional planner, he brings to our clients 23 years of national experience in transportation and transit planning, and traffic engineering projects. Chuck's expertise lies specifically in developing regional, corridor, transit and campus transportation plans, traffic impact and safety studies, and incorporating sustainability principles.

His local transit experience includes assessing traffic impacts for the RTD Southeast/ Southwest Light Rail Line Extensions in Denver, and Transit-Oriented Demand (TOD) Planning to support various TOD alternatives in the vicinity of the Colorado Center and Colorado Light Rail Station. Most notably, Chuck developed the University of Wyoming Transportation and Parking Plan, which included analyzing future traffic, transit and pedestrian options, safety and parking to help plan for the University's growth.

In the past five years, while living and working in Colorado, Chuck has served as Secretary on the WTS Colorado Board of Directors and received the 2009 Institute of Transportation Engineers District 6 Best Paper Award for "Changing Campus Culture: Making the Bus 'Cool'."
