The Downtown Infrastructure Improvement Project won two awards from the American Public Works Association (APWA) Colorado Chapter.
The City won the annual APWA award for engineering/construction management in a small community. As an added surprise and honor, the APWA also presented the City with the Project of the Year Award. SEH took this full-service approach while working with the City of Fort Morgan, Colo. - a community of approximately 12,000 - to overhaul one of the oldest sections of their downtown. Partnering with the City Council and Management team on this $3.2 million project, SEH made major infrastructure improvements to a more than two-block area, improving the overall attractiveness and increasing safety for those working and visiting downtown. The entire project was fast tracked to minimize disruptions.
