East Grand Forks Flood Protection Project Receives Several Awards

In April of 1997, the Red River crested at more than 26 feet above flood stage, flooding East Grand Forks. Since that time, SEH and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) worked together to implement a comprehensive, state-of-the-art flood protection system that would enable the Cities to recover from the flooding and then manage the forces of nature rather than engaging them in an un-winnable battle.

Loring Bikeway Bridge

The Loring Neighborhood in South Minneapolis exudes diversity and activity. Stately 100-year-old homes, brownstone apartments and retail buildings stand just minutes from the City’s lakes, the downtown area and the Walker arts community. The 275-foot-long Loring Bikeway Bridge, designed specifically for commuters heading into Downtown Minneapolis through this neighborhood, completes the Loring Bikeway Commuter Corridor and brings commuters safely across busy Lyndale Avenue just south of the Lowry Tunnel, where they connect with other routes heading into Downtown.

Woods Landing Bridge Replacement Receives President's Project of the Year Award 2003 - Honorable Mention

Woods Landing residents and highway travelers now find a safer intersection at State Highway 10 and US Highway 230, along with a new bridge over the Laramie River.
