The Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin named the Coon Lake Boardwalk that SEH designed for the Village of Frederic, Wisconsin a 2008 Project of Distinction. Janke General Contractors, Inc. submitted the project for consideration.

Photo of Combined Sewer Overflow

The new sewer will minimize sanitary sewer flows into the Little Calumet River by diverting combined sewer overflow from the Sanitary District’s overflow pump stations. This will improve the river’s water quality, enhance the long term vitality of the river’s broader ecosystem, and help prevent basement flooding in a residential neighborhood adjacent to the project area.

SEH’s conceptual design for reusing the historic Lake Superior SOO Line ore dock in Ashland, Wisconsin was presented a Merit Award for Unbuilt Works by the Minnesota Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (MASLA).

THE SEH Water Practice Center partnered with prime consultant TSP on the Lead-Deadwood Area Water Study, and received a 2008 Engineering Excellence Merit Award from the South Dakota ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies).
