Roger Peterson and Steve Gardner Join SEH

In the past six months, SEH has gained 55 years of water resources expertise!

Together, Dr. Roger Peterson and Steve Gardner, PE, CFM - both located in the SEH Lakewood, Colo. office - bring more than 55 years of combined experience to help you preserve and protect water resource systems, resolve flooding and improve water quality.

When you work with Roger Peterson, PhD, (Left portrait) you have access to 35 years of experience in water resource engineering. It's not just experience that has helped Roger develop innovative hydrologic and hydraulic solutions for hundreds of clients-it's his experience backed up with a PhD from Colorado State University, and numerous awards from the American Public Works Association.

Specifically, Dr. Peterson has worked with public and private sector clients on hydraulic analysis, geomorphology, water quality, sustainable design, floodplain management and drainage master planning projects. In addition, he has produced Drainage Criteria Manuals, and written Outfall System Design Reports using cost saving measures to mitigate the impact of development on flood peaks and improved water quality, and sustainable design and restoration of water resource systems.

A diverse civil engineering background helps Steve Gardner, PE, CFM, (Right portrait) develop a well-rounded set of solutions for his clients, and those solutions, at times, include utility funding programs to help pay for the improvements. His 19 years of experience include watershed planning, stormwater system design/construction, and public infrastructure projects. His career has crossed the spectrum of consulting and public service. While consulting for an environmental firm, Steve designed water treatment facilities and served as the project engineer for construction. On the public side, he performed land development reviews and managed the stormwater program for Arapahoe County.

Steve earned his M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver and maintains certified floodplain manager status, and is active in the Colorado Association of Stormwater and Floodplain Managers (CASFM) and the American Public Works Association (APWA).
