Polio, once virtually eradicated around the world, is making a comeback.
Growing numbers of US parents are opting out of vaccinations for newborns, while access to the highly effective vaccine is impeded by war and poverty is some countries. Rotary International is working with other agencies and groups to reverse the resurgence of the debilitating disease. In Chippewa Falls, Wis., local Rotary members, led by SEH's Director of Energy and Sustainability Mark Broses, PE, are sponsoring an on-line auction to support the international effort.
