Construction Underway to Help Alleviate Flooding in Milwaukee

Crews have started removing nearly 1,000 feet of 8-inch thick concrete that lines the riverbed of the Kinnickinnic River watercourse in Milwaukee.

The project was designed by SEH as part of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District’s broader flood control plan for the river, and is located between South 6th Street and I-94 bridges. It will provide improved flood management, embankment stability, community access and protection of existing infrastructure.
