Julie Hoppe, PE, has joined Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH®) as a regional practice leader based in Milwaukee.

Hoppe will oversee the civil engineering practice for Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana, helping public and private clients in those states. She will also play a role in building on SEH’s waterfront development expertise in the Great Lakes region.

“We welcome Julie’s fresh perspective and high energy,” said Mark Broses, SEH vice president. “It’s really great to have her on board.”

A Complete Engineering Background

Hoppe has provided engineering solutions to a wide variety of clients for the past 25 years. A UW-Madison graduate in civil engineering with a Master of Science from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, she has led teams on all project phases. She has worked the design, specifications and estimates for infrastructure projects ranging from $10,000 to more than $25 million.

Throughout her career, Hoppe has owned her own engineering firm and worked as part of a large team of international, full-service engineering professionals. This diverse experience gives her the leadership skills and accountability to lead SEH regional civil engineering practice.

“I’m excited to join SEH’s civil team, and to work with our clients to create great solutions to their challenges,” said Hoppe.
