'Gateway to the Indiana Dunes' Plan Placed on Fast Track
PORTER, IN | After a project update presentation in Indianapolis on "Gateway to the Indiana Dunes" project, the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority was extremely pleased with the work done by SEH thus far, and excited about moving into years two and three of the project. Monroe said the RDA, updated last week, "loved the cooperation, the leadership, and they're excited about all the entities pulling the rope uphill."

Final Steps Taken for Downtown Park
VALPARAISO, IN | The last steps to finish the downtown park are coming together as city officials approved a land deal and accepted five bids for constructing the park that were due on Thursday, January 27, 2011. Construction and site improvements are set to begin March 1, 2011.

Chesterton's Comprehensive Plan Shapes Future of Town
CHESTERTON, IN | Upon it's approval by the Chesterton Town Council in December, the newly updated Comprehensive Plan is already having a positive effect on the community. The plan was guided by SEH and developed to serve the needs of the growing Town. Chesterton Town Manager, Bernie Doyle, had this to say. "SEH went above and beyond with this whole project and we're very grateful to them for this. We held workshops, public meetings and met with department heads. The town worked together in a shared vision for growth."

Construction Contract for Portage Learning Center Awarded
PORTAGE, IN | By this time next year, a long-dreamed-of higher education building along Central Avenue will be a reality. The Redevelopment Commission on Wednesday awarded a contract to the team of Gough Inc., of Merrillville; CSK Architects, of Schererville; and SEH, of Munster.
