Open Letter
May 6, 2008

The Winona County Planning Department, the Zoning Update Task Force and the Project Planning Consultant wish to invite you to the next public open house on Thursday, May 8th. The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in the County Board Room. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an overview of portions of the zoning update related to Agricultural Districts and the Sensitive Land Overlay District.

The presentation will begin shortly after 5:30 by County staff and the consulting team of Short Elliot Hendrickson Inc. Maps, zoning text and related material will be available at the meeting. After the presentation, four public comment stations will be set up throughout the board room for citizens to receive additional information, ask questions and provide comments related to these areas.

A formal public hearing on the entire zoning ordinance will take place in June of 2008. If you are unable to make the open house and wish to receive the information provided during this Thursday’s meeting, please contact the Planning Department at 457-6335 for copies and text. The presentation will also be made available by visiting the project’s website at www.sehinc.com/online/winona-co/index.html.
