SEH and Geocal are teamed for this third contract under the USFWS nationwide inspection program. Services include performing bridge safety inspections including field investigation, load ratings, preparation of inventory and inspection reports and digital photograph documentation on over 700 bridges. Repair and maintenance recommendations are made for upgrading bridges to USFWS and AASHTO Standards. Cost estimates for recommended work and bridge replacement are included. Re-inspection occurs at two- to four-year intervals depending upon structure type and condition. Bridges are located throughout the US (including Alaska and Puerto Rico), excluding the states of Connecticut, Hawaii, Kentucky, and Rhode Island. Work includes coordinating efforts with Station Managers (both access and reporting initial results).

Inspection services include: measuring and sketching, determining GPS location, obtaining digital photographs and document structure conditions, and inspection by observation and other non-destructive tests. Report preparation services include: evaluation of structural members and support adequacies, gathering collected data consistent with NBIS, sign recommendations and load ratings, captioned photographs and sketches, recommended maintenance work and estimated costs, conceptual cost estimate for recommended structure rehabilitation/replacement, and edit rights to secured USFWS Engineering Facilities Management Information System (EFMIS) web site to reflect current data for each bridge inspected.
