SEH serves as prime consultant for a multidisciplinary team providing design, land-surveying, public involvement, and construction-related services to the Town of Castle Rock. SEH designed the roadway and utility improvements for over a mile of Gilbert Street between Plum Creek Parkway and South Street. The sanitary sewer trunk line was too small to meet flow demands, restricting the operations of an existing upstream lift station. This collection system was at maximum capacity during peak flow times and was in danger of surcharging sanitary manholes. Models and evaluation of the existing water infrastructure indicated that the existing water service mains were antiquated and undersized for future development needs.
