For the City of Andover, SEH designed urban roadway improvements for approximately 5900 feet of rural, gravel roadway crossing an existing floodplain.

Features

• Roadway improvements included bituminous surfacing, concrete curb & gutter, storm sewer, signage, and pavement markings.
• Designed four stormwater ponds along the roadway to address stormwater quality requirements.
• Compensatory storage within the existing floodplain to accommodate fill used to elevate the roadway surface above flood elevations.
