Location:
Wadena, Todd, and Morrison Counties, Minnesota
The Minnesota Pipeline Company proposes to construct a new 304 mile crude oil pipeline extension from Clearbrook to Rosemount, Minnesota. As part of this project, SEH was hired to complete the wetland delineations for a 75-mile segment of the pipeline through Wadena, Todd, and Morrison Counties.
Features
-
SEH Natural Resource scientists completed jurisdictional wetland delineations along a 75-mile segment of a proposed crude oil pipeline. These delineations identified and mapped a total of 265 wetlands with a total in-corridor area of 372 acres. All waterway crossings were also mapped and identified.
-
Navigation of the corridor was achieved by uploading the pre-determined survey limits into a sub-meter accurate GPS unit. GPS was used to map the wetland boundaries, sample points, and photo reference points for each basin.
-
Final project delivery included shapefiles of the wetland delineations as discrete polygons with unique mile-marker derived identifications, mapping of the centerline of waterways, separate shapefiles for forested wetlands, site photographs of each basin, locations of invasive vegetation, and uploading of all the supporting data into an Access database.
