Features

• Main Street reconstruction and brick restoration, and Commercial Street and Alley "A" improvements and restoration
• Removed roadway and sidewalks up to store fronts; constructed new concrete base, curb and gutter, sidewalk and pedestrian raps; replaced 6- and 12-inch water mains; and installed new service laterals
• New lighting, traffic signals, trees and tree grates, historical interpretive signs, colored and stamped concrete pavement, brick street and sidewalk border, traffic control, and pavement marking
• Project financed with local funds and Energy and Mineral Impact Funds from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs
• Phased construction approach maintained vehicular and pedestrian traffic to adjacent businesses
• Drainage improvements reused existing storm sewers and inlets
• Improvements comply with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements
• Construction was completed 1.4% under budget
