Rapid growth in the service area necessitated a major upgrade of the Town’s wastewater treatment system. The existing aerated lagoons were not capable of handling the quantity of wastewater nor able to achieve the water quality necessary.

Services provided:

• Construction of an activated sludge mechanical treatment plant, designed to be expanded to an ultimate capacity of 10 MGD
• Removal of ammonia, nitrates, and phosphorus
• Double the plant’s capacity to 2 MGD and inclusion of a laboratory, office building, and a solids handling
