The Genesee Water & Sanitation District wastewater treatment plant was originally a facultative lagoon system. As loadings continued to increase, aeration was added to the lagoon. The plant is an activated sludge facility designed to meet the stringent ammonia standards. Since start up, the ammonia nitrogen in the effluent has consistently been less than 0.1 mg/L.

Services provided:

  • Preparation of Facility Plan to address the future needs of the District
  • Design, bidding and construction services
  • Design of the Terrace Lift Station included two stage pumps with dual drives, electric motor and natural gas engine
  • Replacement of the current Aster Lift Station
  • Wastewater utility plan and utility mapping updates
