New 5-mile-long, 66-inch diameter interceptor sewer and water pollution control facility

Effluent limits are among most stringent in the state
First facility in northern climate to use a two-stage trickling filter/ solids contact (TF/SC) process for removing ammonia
Multiple energy conservation systems that include the TF/SC process, a “teacup” grit removal system and vertical turbine solids handling pumps
Facility configuration allows for maximum flexibility with six different modes of operation
Anaerobic sludge digestion with methane gas recovery and electric power generation
