Trenchless Technology Many cities are faced with the task of renewing aging underground infrastructure. Many of these lines are beyond their useful life, but replacing them is a potentially expensive and disruptive task. SEH can offer the knowledge and experience to incorporate such trenchless technologies as pipe bursting, horizontal directional drilling, and cured-in-place pipe rehabilitation in order to provide cost-effective solutions to your infrastructure needs.

Pipe Bursting Pipe bursting is a process to replace sewer, water, or natural gas pipes by an using an expanding device to shatter damaged pipes and then draw in a replacement lines—all without digging the conventional trench. Horizontal Directional Drilling HDD boring minimizes environmental disruption by installing underground pipes and conduits along a surface bore path and is commonly used for installing telecommunications and power cable conduits, water lines, sewer lines, gas lines, oil lines, product pipelines, and environmental remediation Cured-in-Place Pipe Rehabilitation CIPP is a “pipe-within-a-pipe” process that repairs infiltration and leaks to pipes ranging from six to 96 inches by introducing a resin-saturated felt tube into a damaged pipe. The resin is cured by hot water or steam to form a jointless and corrosion-resistant replacement pipe, which is then inspected by closed-circuit TV.
