SEH recognizes that our clients need to maintain their infrastructure and provide for the needs of their communities while facing budget challenges. We developed our Community and Economic Development Team to help clients track funding and manage the grant and low-interest-loan process.


Whether it's for one infrastructure project or many, SEH planners and engineers take a full-service approach, first by determining needs, then prioritizing and seeking out necessary funding, while at the same time coordinating for quick completion. And, in this case quick completion meant less than 90 days!

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin named the Coon Lake Boardwalk that SEH designed for the Village of Frederic, Wisconsin a 2008 Project of Distinction. Janke General Contractors, Inc. submitted the project for consideration.


Lakefront Communities Shape a Bright Future for Northwest Indiana.


SEH and partner, Design Studio West, prepared this plan for the City of Westminster’s Department of Community Development. The plan outlines an ambitious proposal for creating a park along Little Dry Creek between Federal Boulevard and Lowell Boulevard that will be adjacent to the planned South Westminster commuter rail station and an 80-acre site identified for future transit-oriented development.


For students, summer means rest and relaxation. For most school administrators, summer marks the beginning of a fast-paced, three-month test to complete facility renovations and improvements that will keep their facilities operating efficiently and provide the optimal learning environment for students.


The University and 29th Avenues Development Objectives and Design Guidelines developed by SEH were intended to facilitate transit-supportive redevelopment and the evolution of a special place of high quality and enduring character.


The City had been working on the redevelopment of an aging foundry and industrial area that is adjacent to their municipal park and City Hall, between 37th and 40th Avenue, east of University Avenue (TH 47), for over a decade.
