Mark Maves, PE has joined the SEH St. Paul office as a Senior Structural Engineer. Mr. Maves is well known in Minnesota for his expertise in bridge design and project management skills. He will have a lead role at SEH in the concept and preliminary development of major interchange and river crossing bridge projects, historic bridge evaluation and studies, and in design build project development and management.


In September, 2010, a severe flooding event sent large pieces of debris hurtling down the LeSueur River in Mankato, Minnesota. The flood-borne debris knocked a large hole in one of the piers that supports the Red Jacket Trestle Bridge, causing unsafe conditions for the traveling public.
