The SEH Board of Directors named three new Company Class B Stockholders—Karen Cavett, PE, John Rodeberg, PE and Jason Triplett, PE.
They were selected based on their continuous commitment to the Company’s success and their sustained and successful job performance. They are successful leaders, risk takers, and are trusted and respected by clients and well-regarded by their peers. Prior to being named a Class B Stockholder they held the recognition of being an SEH Associate.
Karen is a registered water resources engineer in our Mankato, Minn. office and leads the Company’s wastewater practice in Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and Iowa. She joined SEH in 1990 and has more than 28 years’ experience in the industry. Karen leads a team of talented professionals who have implemented innovative and unique solutions to help their clients generate clean water.
As an expert in the fields of water and wastewater, Karen regularly presents on both water and wastewater for the American Council of Engineering Companies, Minnesota Wastewater Operators Association and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. She has served as a mentor for Engineers without Borders—Minnesota State University-Mankato Student Chapter since 2012.
John joined SEH in 2006, opened the SEH Hutchinson, Minn. office in 2007 and has more than 38 years of diverse experience in helping communities throughout Minnesota improve their infrastructure, build and renovate their downtowns and plan for the future through comprehensive and master planning processes. As a former Public Works Director, he shares his insights and experiences with the clients he serves to help solve challenges they face day-to-day.
His background includes policy development and coordinating projects in partnership with local, regional, state and federal groups and agencies including the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, City Engineers Association of Minnesota, American Public Works Association-Minnesota Chapter, League of Minnesota Cities, University of Minnesota-Center for Transportation Studies, Minnesota Local Technical Assistance Program and the Minnesota Local Road Research Board.
Jason is a senior professional engineer and joined SEH in 1998 in our Denver, Colo. office. He has with experience in coordination and execution of bridge inspections, preparation and submittal of inspection reports and calculation of load capacity ratings using the Bridge Rating & Analysis of Structural Systems (BRASS) and Virtis rating programs. The methods/technology Jason uses when inspecting bridges include; D-meter—used to measure how much steel remains intact beneath rust spots, snooper trucks and watercraft.
Jason believes in providing safe passages for everyone and has been extensively involved in bridge inspections for the Colorado Department of Transportation, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and numerous counties and municipalities. He also has experience with surveying and construction observation for bridge replacements and road improvement projects.
