Cascade Avenue Reconstruction

Challenge

Heavy traffic and a large number of student pedestrians along Cascade Avenue in the University of Wisconsin – River Falls were creating safety issues.

Solution

The campus thoroughfare was reconstructed to include key crossing locations with pedestrian refuges, improved lighting and signalizations as well as two roundabouts to improve traffic flow and safety.
