Madison Water Utility Lake View Reservoir 113 Two Zone System Project

Written by SEH | June 16, 2022

Challenge

The challenges of replacing and expanding a 75-year-old undersized single zone water tower in the heart of the popular Lake View Hill nature conservancy were compounded by the physical constraints of the project site, the proximity of the Dane County Regional Airport, multiple cell carriers, the County 911 system, an historically significant Dane County Human Resources center, a former tuberculosis sanatorium, and an active Friends of Lake View Hill Park organization.

Solution

By planning ahead, making sensible choices and incorporating the voice of their community and residents, the Madison Water Utility has delivered its residents a cost-effective project that not only improved service, but also wisely positioned their community for the next century.
