At SEH, we succeed because of employee-owners who lead by example – bringing dedication, creativity, and collaboration to everything they do.

Our employee-led Act of Excellence (AOE) Committee reviews peer nominations each quarter and selects honorees in three categories: Accomplishment/Innovation, Character, and Teamwork. These individuals embody SEH’s core values and help shape a workplace we’re proud to be part of.

Please join us in recognizing our recipients: Andy Hegel, Chris Clark, Jessica Pease, and Chris Sigit-Sidharta. Read on to see how each employee-owner is making a lasting impact at SEH.

Accomplishment/Innovation

Andrew Hegel

Andy Hegel, Multimedia Designer
Marketing

The Act: After joining SEH in 2020, Andy quickly recognized an opportunity to enhance how the company manages and accesses its digital assets. Seeing the potential for a more efficient system, he proposed implementing a Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform. With strong organizational support, Andy then led the vendor interview process and was instrumental in selecting Aprimo as SEH’s DAM partner.

Working closely with the marketing team, he applied his technical expertise to tailor the platform to SEH’s needs and kickstart the data ingestion process. His thoughtful solutions and collaborative approach have been key to streamlining workflows and preparing the system for a successful companywide launch in Spring 2025.

Thanks to Andy’s dedication and technical leadership, SEH’s DAM platform will transform how teams find and use high-quality assets – from project and employee photos to proposals, flyers, and other marketing materials – improving efficiency, consistency, and creativity across the company.

Character

Chris Clark

Chris Clark, Engineer-in-Training
Civil Engineering

The Act: Chris exemplifies SEH’s core values through his unwavering dedication and willingness to go the extra mile. When asked to relocate for six months to support a critical infrastructure project, he embraced the opportunity with a “whatever it takes” mindset that truly sets him apart.

From day one, Chris jumped in with both feet, taking on construction oversight responsibilities not only as an inspector but also assisting with project management duties for a full street and utility reconstruction project, which included the installation of a 20-foot deep 72-inch storm sewer and stabilization efforts for a 40-foot-deep ravine.

He fully embraced the role, bringing a sense of ownership and pride to the project. His meticulous attention to detail, proactive approach and communication with the contractor, client, and residents ensured the project's success and reflected his deep commitment to excellence.

Chris's willingness to go above and beyond for this assignment speaks volumes about his character, resilience, and dedication to his team and SEH. His efforts were appreciated not only by SEH but also the client, and his positive attitude and strong sense of ownership left a lasting impact.

Teamwork

Jessica Pease, Administrative, and Chris Sigit-Sidharta, Architecture*

Jessica Pease and Chris Sigit-Sidharta

The Act:  In March 2025, SEH’s Denver office successfully relocated to a new, modern space – a significant milestone for one of our key regional hubs. The new office supports our flexible work policy, featuring hoteling workstations, collaboration areas, and a more efficient footprint at less than half the square footage of the original space.

While many individuals contributed to this smooth transition, two team members stood out: Jessica Pease and Chris Sigit-Sidharta.

Jessica led the monumental task of downsizing and coordinating the move. From working closely with building ownership to keeping Denver staff informed and engaged, she managed countless details with precision and care. Chris served as the lead architect for the new space, overseeing every aspect of the design and working directly with the contractor throughout construction to help ensure the vision was brought to life. Taking on these responsibilities in addition to their regular roles, their collaboration and dedication were instrumental in making the move successful.

*Professional Licensure: Chris Sigit-Sidharta is a professional architect registered in CO, ID, and NM
