As a major player in this highly competitive segment of the food industry, Supervalu requires an architectural and engineering partner with a deep understanding of food production, distribution and sales facility requirements, and the ability to respond quickly to changing market drivers.
Solution
Through a strong partnership developed over several years, SEH architects and engineers have delivered a wide range of building and site solutions to meet Supervalu’s needs throughout the U.S.
Projects include:

Test Kitchen and Food Laboratory Relocation – Relocation of test kitchen lab program to other buildings within existing corporate campus. Included a 15,000-square-foot addition and 30,000 square feet of renovation. Program includes food preparation, control rooms, taste testing, subject interface and office support.

New U.S. Regional Distribution Centers – Three new 300,000-square-foot regional food distribution centers, with complete cold box, freezer box, cold and dry loading/distribution, automated pick systems, high-piled storage and office operations.

Renovations to U.S. Regional Distribution Centers – Various renovations to existing 200,000-square-foot regional food distribution centers, including dry, cold and freezer box, loading/receiving, and office operations.
