Saint Paul, MN – November 14, 2024 – Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH®) has announced the election of two directors to its Board of Directors, re-electing Matt Bolf, PE*, Regional Civil Practice Center Leader, and welcoming Deric Deuschle, Regional Mobility Sector Leader. We are also excited to announce the appointment of Erica Olsen, PE*, Regional Civil and Water Resources Practice Center Leader, as the board secretary.
The board consists of nine individuals – seven internal directors and two external directors – and is responsible for overseeing the organization’s strategic direction, policymaking, and governance. SEH is a 100% employee-owned company, and eligible SEH Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) participants have the opportunity to vote on Board of Director candidates.

Meet Our Board Members
Matt Bolf is an SEH principal and regional civil practice center leader with over 24 years of experience delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for public, private, and industrial projects across southern Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska. Throughout his tenure, Matt has demonstrated a commitment to high-quality results and strategic growth. His extensive involvement on the Executive Review and Director Nominating Committees and his past role as an ESOP trustee provide him with deep insight into corporate governance and employee ownership.
Deric Deuschle is an SEH principal, regional mobility sector leader, and a certified Minnesota wetland professional with 26 years of expertise in environmental review, National Environmental Policy Act studies, and multidisciplinary project management. While at SEH, Deric has excelled in leading large project teams and advancing the SEH roadmap vision by emphasizing employee ownership and engagement. As a former board secretary and member of the Director Nominating Committee, he demonstrates a solid commitment to governance and strategic growth through mergers and acquisitions and technological integrations.

Erica Olsen is an SEH principal and regional civil and water resources practice center leader with extensive experience in the civil engineering industry who will ensure effective governance and communication as the new secretary to the SEH Board of Directors.
