The award reflects SEH’s purpose of Building a Better World for All of Us® and highlights work completed in collaboration with Himalayan Consultants JV, a joint venture with SEH, and in close coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Paul District and partner agencies to support habitat restoration along the Upper Mississippi River near Guttenberg, Iowa.

“This project focused on making smart, lasting improvements using the resources already in place. Our team worked closely with agency partners to transform routine dredging material into resilient habitat features that will benefit the river for years to come.” – Lindsey Roberts McKenzie, PE*, Principal/Enterprise Federal Market Leader

The team reused approximately 300,000 cubic yards of dredged river sand to build and reinforce islands, protect shorelines, and enhance aquatic habitat – supporting long-term river health while preserving navigation.
